hi all,

just curious to know..
i found this message when trying to reopen my diy cms

Error : MySQL server has gone away
Error No: 2006

Could connect to the database (a45345_socrates)
something wrong with the script..

and also, i can't see my frontsite/ where i put my things so that anyone can see.

how can i fix it? please tell me.. ty

Welcome here

The most probable cause for the error is that the server timed out the connection. According to mysql website:

By default, the server closes the connection after eight hours if nothing has happened.

You can try to use persistent connection by going to admin/conf.php and then change the 0 in this line to 1:
$CONF['dbconntype']      = 0;  // connection type

This might solve the problem.

Also, your frontsite is located at the directory where you installed DiY-CMS. So, say you installed it on this path:
your frontsite will be at "folder".
